Russian Language, Culture, and Entrepreneurship
At Itä-Suomen koulu Upper Secondary School, students complete the Finnish matriculation examination. The school’s special focus is to provide students with strong Russian language skills and an understanding of Russian culture. The curriculum follows the Finnish national upper secondary school framework. Students may complete slightly fewer compulsory national courses if they focus on studies in Russian language, Russian culture, and entrepreneurship. At Itä-Suomen koulu Upper Secondary School, students study two long languages: Russian and English. In addition, they can choose short courses in other foreign languages.
Study periods abroad
The study program includes modules that take place abroad. The course selection also features locally designed courses related to internationality and knowledge of Russia, organized in cooperation with local universities and entrepreneurs. These collaborations offer students valuable contacts for future internships or summer jobs.
